In January I will volunteer for 10 weeks on a development programme in Rwanda. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most.
Before I am able to go, I need to raise £1,500 before December for the charity I am volunteering with, Tearfund, so that others can also take part in the programme.
To do this I am taking on a couple of fundraising tasks, from one which I have no control over, called ‘I’d Do Anything’ after the 12-14’s game at Newday where I’m allowing others to pick my tasks, which so far includes drinking a bug smoothie and being pelted with rotting tomatoes. And other where I’ve integrated a couple of ideas into one big task week, where I will spend a week living below the poverty line, restricting myself to £1 worth of food a day, whilst also camping in my garden and giving up my luxury items such as make up and fancy toiletries and then ending the week with a 10 mile barefoot walk. All of which I will be posting pictures and videos of.
I would be so thankful for your donations however small, prayer, or just a signal boost. Texts are UK mobiles only, but you can click on the image to go to my JustGiving page.
